i know it`s certainly not going to happen in our time or even our childrens ,childrens time , but surely eventually, it must come about.. religion , all religion has been nothing but a curse on this planet , and humans will never reach their full potential until they eradicate all forms of religion .. of course the theists will insist their have been great acheivments in science, astronomy, the arts etc.
,to a large part by the educated religionists of their day , however the masses were deprived of such education .if the masses had received the education of the priveledged few religous scholars ,we may well have been enjoying a new golden age of enlightenment already.. note : i am talking about all religions of the world not just xians ,judaism, muslim ,etc.
but all religious persuasions.. just my 2 cents worth.

Humans will always worship something whether its a rock a tree or an invisible cloud man. What really needs to stop is people expecting and demanding that everybody else has to worship the same damn thing.

on my other post 'thinking of becoming a jw' people mentioned that once i was baptised i would be told / given rules of what i can / cant do, things like: how i act, dress, how i can have sex with my husband??
what i can and cant eat ( according to some research ive done).
i would be really interested to hear as many of these rules now - as i think its too late after one is baptised.. i would be grateful of as many as possible about anything any topic even thouse i havent mentioned.. thanks x.
Kate, like others said before, the "rules'' of living are far less a problem than the fact that you cannot even have a private thought that is different to what ever the Governing Body tell you.

Alarm bells should be ringing loud and clear girl. This IS NOT some alternate religion you can be with to worship God. This IS a high control group that will micro manage your every thought and action. They will mess up your life, it is too late for you to go any further with them. What you have seen on this site and others cannot be unseen and will stay with you as doubts that will pop up later and will have to be squashed or you will end up, in one year or ten, in a very bad way as they try to kick you out if you dont shut up, or lose a husband who wont stay with you...

so oftin i recall being excited about all the cases that were won in the name of jehovah.
i would talk with my dad and ask him how could it be possible that the supreme court judges haven't become witnesses.
it made no sense to me, that these men and women were not moved by all the wins that the organization was piling up.
They were never champions of human rights.
They fought for their own rights and others got to benefit thats all. Thats why they dont care a squat about others, its their history, their nature.
